Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Setup Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Milling machines to produce precision aerospace parts according to specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Set up CNC milling machines (3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis as applicable).
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials.
• Adjust machine offsets and ensure proper tolerances are maintained.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Make necessary program edits at the machine (if required).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum [2] years of CNC milling setup experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Familiarity with tight tolerance work (aerospace experience is a plus).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Reliable and detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with [Fanuc / Okuma / etc.] controls.
• Knowledge of tooling and cutting parameters.
