Salary Range: $47,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Coopersville that are seeking EDM Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to produce precise components.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or production issues.
• Adjust EDM parameters (e.g., pulse on/off time, current, voltage) to optimize machining processes.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines and work areas.
• Document production data, including part counts, machine settings, and quality control results.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and understand GD&T.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) for quality inspection.
• Demonstrated ability to perform machine setups, tool changes, and routine adjustments.
• Basic understanding of material properties and their impact on EDM processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for manufacturing applications.
• Familiarity with conventional machining processes (e.g., milling, turning).
• Basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
• Experience operating CMMs or other advanced metrology equipment.
