This role is essential in ensuring the stables are maintained to a high standard, and the horses are well cared for. This position requires a commitment to punctuality and reliability, as showing up on time and adhering to the work schedule is crucial. Job responsibilities: · Basic stable hand duties (mucking stalls, sweeping, maintaining cleanliness) · Feeding and watering horses · Grooming horses (brushing, mane/tail care, bathing, etc.) · Maintaining equipment and tack · Turnout/bringing horses in from paddocks · Feeding and watering sheep · Turnout/bringing sheep in from paddocks · Assist with barn chores and organization as needed · Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Qualifications: · Previous experience with horses is a must · Knowledge of basic stable management and horse care is a plus · Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required · Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision · Dependable, strong attention to detail and reliable with strong work ethic · Comfortable working in all weather conditions · Must have transportation to and from the location if not staying onsite in provided housing · Work schedule: Tuesday – Sunday, Mondays off
