Head of Enterprise Architecture & Engineering (Senior Director Level) (Azure, Data & AI, Remote) Job Overview

SavATree is seeking a Head of Enterprise Architecture & Engineering to shape and build the enterprise technology backbone powering customer experience, field enablement, operational scalability, enterprise platforms, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities. This role requires a full-stack enterprise mindset across enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, Azure cloud platforms, enterprise data, digital backbone capabilities, automation, engineering standards, and AI enablement.

• Shape and build the enterprise technology backbone for customer experience, field enablement, operational scalability, and AI.
• Not a pure governance role; requires a principal architect and builder mindset, solving complex technical problems and influencing decisions.
• Plays a critical role in enabling customer and employee-facing capabilities through APIs, reusable services, and scalable platform design.
• Requires a player-coach mindset, moving fluidly between executive conversations and technical depth.

• Define enterprise architecture strategy across applications, integrations, cloud platforms, data, and AI enablement.
• Establish scalable architecture patterns enabling digital customer and employee experiences.
• Own and evolve enterprise integration and platform strategy including APIs, middleware, and event-driven architecture.
• Guide architecture and engineering direction across Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP, CRM, and digital platforms.
• Establish pragmatic enterprise data governance practices and define enterprise data standards.
• Enable trusted enterprise data, analytics, automation, and AI-ready architectures.
• Build and scale a pragmatic enterprise architecture and engineering capability.
• Coach architects, engineers, and technical leaders while elevating technical maturity.

• 10+ years of progressive experience across enterprise architecture, software engineering, or platform engineering.
• Experience operating as a principal architect, enterprise platform leader, or equivalent senior technical leadership role.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and services.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem (CE and/or F&O preferred).
• Experience enabling digital backbones including APIs, customer and employee experiences, and reusable services.
• Strong expertise across enterprise architecture, platform engineering, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with modern data platforms including Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Data Services.
• Comfortable operating in lean, fast-moving environments requiring both strategic leadership and hands-on technical execution.
