The HR Assistant is responsible for supporting the overall administrative and operational functions for the human resources department. The HR Assistant provides support and assistance in the following functional areas: data entry, employee records, professional development, wellness and engagement initiatives and general office assistance.
This position is not eligible for telework.
The schedule for the position is 4 days a week for a total of 24-28 hours a week. Candidates must have availability to work a shift within the time frame of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Shift time and days of week worked are flexible. Must be available to work in person on the North East campus.
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations and traffic signals when driving.
