About the Role
Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing and industrial innovation space, is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support their HR team at their New Ulm, Minnesota location. This is a fully onsite, Monday–Friday role operating during core business hours.
This position plays a key role in supporting recruiting and onboarding processes while ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple administrative priorities within a fast-paced HR environment. Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR team, with a strong focus on recruiting coordination and onboarding activities. This role helps ensure efficient hiring processes and supports day-to-day HR functions through scheduling, documentation, and system updates.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Administer employment-related assessments (including MESP and GAMB tests), including candidate communication and follow-up
  • Support HR staff and hiring managers with applicant tracking and administrative recruiting tasks
  • Coordinate and assist with new hire orientation activities
  • Print, organize, and scan onboarding documentation into HR systems such as Workday
  • Provide general administrative support across HR functions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in administrative support, HR coordination, recruiting, or onboarding
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR platforms such as Workday
  • Experience supporting hiring processes, including interviews and candidate communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
