Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Import/Export Analyst for a Contract position with a client in Minnetonka, MN . The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with regulatory data in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $32/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Import/Export Analyst job responsibilities include:

  • Support import/export logistics operations, including freight forwarding coordination and shipment tracking.

  • Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Schedule B commodity codes.

  • Create and maintain Proforma Invoices and other shipping documentation.

  • Maintain updated records for FDA and other applicable government agency data.

  • Prepare and manage NAFTA Certificates of Origin and other trade compliance documents.

  • File Shipper’s Export Declarations and maintain accurate inbound and outbound shipment logs.

  • Track shipments and perform follow‑up to ensure on‑time delivery and compliance.

  • Support tariff mitigation projects, including country‑of‑origin analysis and HTS classification reviews.

  • Audit customs brokerage invoices for accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain document filing systems and shipment records to ensure audit readiness.

  • Perform data analysis and updates within trade compliance systems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 0–3 years of experience in import/export logistics, trade compliance, or related operations.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Knowledge of import/export logistics, international freight forwarding, and trade documentation.

  • Basic understanding of HTS Classification and government trade regulations (highly preferred).

  • Strong analytical skills with experience handling data and documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

  • Strong organizational and document management skills.

  • Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment and pivot priorities as needed.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience with HTS Classification.

  • Experience with medical device or regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with SAP and Winchell systems.

  • Experience working within Quality Systems environments.

  • Background in Regulatory, EHS, or Dangerous Goods compliance.

  • Restaurant or high‑volume operational experience (demonstrates ability to work under pressure and in team settings).

Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
