Job Summary for Sr. Project Manager II (Telecommuter Role)
- Position Title: Sr. Project Manager II
- Work Location: Telecommuter (Remote)
- Team: 90+ project managers, ranging from junior to senior levels, supporting the full Optum Rx business including PBM and various pharmacy operations.

- Top Responsibilities:
1. Lead and develop program/project scope documents (e.g., charters, SOWs, business vision docs)
2. Create and manage project/program plans, communication plans, and status/issue reports
3. Coordinate and manage schedule, budget, scope, benefits, and quality of projects/programs
4. Ensure timely and on-budget completion of assigned work with designated resources
5. Develop/contribute to budgets and forecasts, drive cost/benefit analysis, and support stakeholder approval processes
6. Proactively address and resolve project/program issues, escalating and driving closure as needed
- Required Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of project management or similar experience
- Experience in a cross-matrixed enterprise environment
- Strong executive communication and presentation abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to influence and implement plans across organizational boundaries
- Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience in business operations strategy within a matrixed organization
- Familiarity with Optum Rx, PBM, or pharmacy/healthcare industry
- Experience using Smartsheets
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm Central Time; standard hours, no routine overtime or weekend work (may occur occasionally)
- Licensing/Screening: No professional license, background check, or drug screen required
- Interview Process:
