LaSalle Network is hiring a Network Security Engineer (Contract) to support a high-impact security initiative with a global industry leader. This Network Security Engineer role is built for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, can operate independently and is ready to step in and make immediate contributions. You’ll partner closely with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to strengthen defenses, remediate vulnerabilities and modernize critical systems.

This Network Security Engineer will play a key role in bridging the gap between threat identification and remediation execution—owning work from discovery through resolution.

What’s the job?

• Assess and remediate vulnerabilities identified by cybersecurity teams
• Perform impact analysis on newly disclosed threats (VMware, network devices, etc.)
• Support VMware upgrades and infrastructure hardening initiatives
• Improve Active Directory hygiene (stale accounts, outdated groups, permissions)
• Review logs and analyze event IDs to identify risks
• Execute firmware upgrades across network devices
• Manage and resolve security-related tickets via FreshService
• Collaborate with vendors for testing, validation and remediation
• Support encryption upgrades (RC4 to AES migration)

What’s needed?

• 5+ years in infrastructure and security engineering roles
• Strong experience with Windows environments and VMware
• Hands-on expertise with Active Directory (permissions, account management)
• Proven experience in vulnerability management and remediation
• Familiarity with Cisco ISE and network security principles
• Solid understanding of switches, routers and firewalls
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a senior-level capacity
