Job Description

Support Broker Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to provide part-time food preparation services for a male client with a disability. This role is crucial in supporting his health and well-being by adhering strictly to a specialized diet prescribed by his healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Planning and Preparation: Develop and execute meals and snacks tailored to the client’s specific dietary guidelines.
  • Food Handling and Storage: Ensure the safe handling, storage, and cooking of all food items to prevent cross-contamination and maintain nutritional integrity.
  • Grocery Shopping: Conduct grocery shopping for the client, carefully selecting items that comply with his dietary restrictions.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment.
  • Client Accommodations: Accommodate the client’s preferences within the constraints of his dietary plan.
  • Meal Tracking and Communication: Track meals prepared and communicate any issues or supply needs to the client’s support team.

Requirements:

  • Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check through the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). This is a mandatory requirement for employment.
  • Food Preparation Experience: Prior experience in food preparation, preferably in a setting with dietary restrictions (e.g., healthcare, personal chef, allergy-aware cooking).
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Knowledge: Knowledge of and commitment to strict food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification is preferred but not required).
  •   Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes with precision.
  • Reliable Transportation: Reliable transportation for grocery shopping and commuting to the client’s residence.
  • Compassion, Patience, and Respect: Compassion, patience, and a respectful understanding of working with an individual with a disability.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Logistics:

  • Pay: $15.00 per hour, based on experience.
  • Schedule: Approximately 6-10 hours per week. Specific days and times are flexible and will be mutually agreed upon.
  • This is a part-time, at-will position.
