Patient Care Coordinator (Front Desk – Pediatrics)

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join a busy pediatric practice in Miller Place, NY. This is a front desk role where you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and families—playing a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient office experience.

Schedule

• Primary shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• One late shift (12–8 PM) per week
• Fridays & rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families with a warm, professional demeanor
• Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
• Collect and update patient demographics and insurance information
• Verify insurance details and ensure accurate documentation
• Support daily front office operations to maintain smooth workflow
• Collaborate with a small team to ensure excellent patient experience

What You’ll Bring

Required:

• Minimum 1 year of medical office or healthcare front desk experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience interacting directly with patients (pediatric experience is a plus)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and data entry skills

Preferred:

• Experience in a pediatric setting
• Upbeat, outgoing personality with a team-first mindset
• Comfortable working with children and families

Work Environment

• Fast-paced pediatric office focused on high-quality patient care
