About the Job :
Shriners Children's Boston is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for its PACU (Peds) unit. In this role, you will provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients recovering from surgery. You will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring patient comfort as they wake up from anesthesia. This is a critical role in the surgical process, helping to ensure that young patients recover safely and comfortably. Key Responsibilities :
Provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in recovery.
Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and pain levels during the recovery process.
Administer medications and manage patient pain relief as needed.
Ensure a safe and comfortable recovery environment for pediatric patients.
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure effective recovery care.
Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery expectations.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress.

Compensation :
Hourly Rate : $60 - $62.72/hr
Shift Duration : 12 hours
Estimated Pay : $60 - $62.72/hr * 12 hours = $720 - $752.64 per shift
Experience Needed : PRN (As-needed basis, flexible shifts)
Documents Required :
Active RN license in Massachusetts
PALS,BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification
Resume detailing PACU and pediatric experience
Professional References (at least two)
