Looking to take the next step in your scientific career? A Top-Tier Global Pharma Leader is seeking a Scientist I, Production (Chemistry) to join their dynamic team in Rockford, IL. This is a fantastic 1-year contract opportunity to perform hands-on organic chemistry syntheses and process optimization within a cutting-edge manufacturing environment.

responsibilities:

• Perform organic chemistry syntheses, reagent analysis, and component manufacturing in accordance with production plans.
• Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, WIP, and finished products using advanced ERP functions.
• Recognize manufacturing variables, identify issues, and perform experiments to recommend process corrections.
• Create, revise, and critically evaluate process documents to ensure efficient, reproducible, and high-quality manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and EH&S, to support new product development and ensure safety compliance.

 
qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong background in analyzing and interpreting scientific data.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Organic Chemistry.
• 1-3 years of experience working with polymer chemistries.
• Strong technical writing and organizational skills.
