Water is at the heart of our business and is a critical resource in our communities. Understanding and augmenting groundwater resources is critical for agricultural, industrial, and municipal water supply. We’re looking for an established hydrogeologist to work on complex groundwater characterization and related projects such as aquifer recharge and stormwater/recycled water infiltration for government and private-sector clients.
Based in Portland, OR, you’ll participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning, evaluating, and implementing groundwater withdrawal and infiltration actions. You’ll mentor early-and mid-career staff, and you’ll pass your knowledge on to others. You’ll balance your field work with some time spent in the office evaluating and reviewing data, writing reports, preparing project planning documents, and building hydrogeologic models. You’ll be juggling multiple tasks, so we’ll rely on you to prioritize effectively, keeping the big-picture in mind. Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology or related field
•30+ years of professional experience leading hydrogeological investigations (groundwater monitoring, groundwater modeling, investigations of various contaminated media (e.g., soil, groundwater, surface water, and/or sediment) as well as data evaluation
• Professional experience in field work methodology and procedures used in the environmental industry
• Professional experience in designing and running hydrogeologic models for contaminant fate and transport
•40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification
• Oregon State Licensed Geologist, or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Oregon State Licensed Hydrogeologist, or ability to obtain within 1 year
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
• Masters degree or PhD in Hydrogeology, geology or related field
• Experience working with regulatory agencies

The base salary range for this position is $155,600.00 to $243,100.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
