Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop long- and short-term project plans with clear milestones and timelines.
  • Coordinate project activities, delegate tasks, and manage resources effectively.
  • Prepare project documentation including scope of work, BOMs, logistics, and access planning.
  • Oversee deployments, fiber testing, and hardware implementations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring delivery stays aligned with customer expectations.
  • Manage customer relationships during delivery, serving as the primary interface and handling evolving requirements.
  • Deliver consistent project updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Maintain working files, documentation, and data sources in tools such as SharePoint and CMDB.
  • Collaborate with engineering, NOC, IT, and construction teams to ensure accurate onboarding and execution.
  • Provide technical oversight, including Tier I troubleshooting and familiarity with Juniper, Cisco, and DWDM systems.
  • Drive process improvements by applying industry best practices and project management standards.
  • Perform special projects or tasks as directed by leadership.

Skills / Must Have:

  • 7+ years of project management or related technical field experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Project Management certification preferred (PMP, PRINCE2) but not required.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, methodologies, and ITIL standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper and Cisco routers/switches, with scripting and troubleshooting ability.
  • Knowledge of DWDM, Ethernet, SONET/SDH, TCP/IP, and Layer 2–3 routing.
  • Experience with Outside Plant (OSP), dark fiber, and OTDR analysis.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills using MS Office, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lead teams, influence without authority, and adapt to dynamic environments.
