Title: WiFi Network Engineer
Location: Greenwood Village, CO- Only locals


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced WiFi Network Engineer to join our team. This role involves planning, forecasting, implementing, and identifying resource requirements for high-complexity wireless network systems . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and enhancing large-scale wireless network environments , while also recommending performance and reliability improvements . This position requires strong expertise in carrier-grade / enterprise-scale Wi-Fi deployments and a deep understanding of wireless network architecture, protocols, and operations .

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in wireless network planning, architecture design, and engineering activities.

  • Design and implement wireless network architectures and configurations for complex enterprise environments.

  • Integrate and schematically represent communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission methods, signaling links, and protocols into complete wireless network configurations.

  • Evaluate new wireless products and technologies for suitability and performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve wireless network issues across large-scale deployments.

  • Develop and implement approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs) .

  • Design, develop, and implement wireless network enhancements .

  • Recommend and drive improvements related to performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency .

  • Collaborate with SMEs, engineering teams, and product engineering teams .

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of wireless networking fundamentals , including the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and related protocols .

  • Strong understanding of wireless industry standards such as IEEE, ANSI, and 802.11 variants .

  • Strong knowledge of bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet, and transport technologies .

  • Proficient in wireless network design, architecture, protocols, and topology .

  • Knowledge of wireless network devices and appliances .

  • Experience with wireless network design tools such as Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office Suite .

Education, Certifications & Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field , or equivalent work experience.

  • Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP Wireless) or equivalent preferred.

  • Wireless industry and vendor-specific training/certifications such as Cisco, Arris, Ruckus, or similar .

Experience Required

  • 5+ years of hands-on wireless network engineering experience .

  • 10+ years of overall applicable specialized technical experience.

  • Proven experience working with large-scale wireless environments .

Must-Have Requirements

  • Must have carrier-grade / enterprise-scale Wi-Fi experience , not small office or residential deployments.

  • Experience with large Wi-Fi network deployments , including Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 .

  • Must be a seasoned Wi-Fi Engineer , not someone who has only installed a few access points.

  • Must come from a wireless Wi-Fi engineering background , not a 5G / cellular-only profile .

Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting high-scale enterprise or carrier-grade wireless deployments .

  • Experience with wireless design, implementation, and operational support .

  • Background in complex network environments with cross-functional collaboration.

Soft Skills / Operational Expectations

  • Strong operations background with the ability to communicate clearly, speak confidently, and represent the team well .

  • Comfortable working with SMEs, engineering teams, and product engineering teams .

  • Must bring the right professional presence, communication skills, personality, and team collaboration mindset .
