LaSalle Network is hiring an Accounting Specialist for a growing distribution company near Buffalo Grove, Illinois. This fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an Accounting Specialist who enjoys supporting full-cycle accounting while taking strong ownership of credit and collections.

This Accounting Specialist will play a key role in accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting functions, with a primary focus on credit and collections. If you’re detail-oriented, confident communicating with customers and ready to grow, this Accounting Specialist role is a strong next step.

What’s the job?

Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing and cash application
Lead credit and collections efforts on past-due accounts
Monitor AR aging reports and follow up to reduce outstanding balances
Review and establish customer credit limits
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
Support accounts payable processing and vendor communication
Assist with journal entries and month-end close activities
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

What’s needed?

2+ years of Accounting Specialist or general accounting experience
Experience with AR and AP processes
Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work fully onsite in Buffalo Grove, IL
