AECOM is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Engineer III at the Grand Rapids, Michigan or Novi, Michigan office to perform routine, in-depth, and fracture critical inspections. Inspections may include use of snooper trucks, bucket trucks, boats, and/or man lifts. Inspections will require in-state and some out-of-state travel.
This opportunity can include bridge load ratings and bridge construction inspection oversight. The ability to complete design related tasks with a clear understanding of Michigan DOT, regional and municipal standards is applicable to the responsibilities of this position.
Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications
:
BA/BS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid DMV license.
Preferred Qualifications
:
Bridge design or load rating experience.
2+ years' experience of in-service bridge inspections highly peffered.
Engineer in Training (EIT).
PE highly preferred.
Certified Bridge Inspector/Team Leader status in at least 1 state.
AASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR) experience.
FHWA-NHI-130055 or 130056 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certification.
FHWA-NHI-130078 NSTM Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges Certification.
Experience operating snooper trucks, bucket trucks, and man lifts.
Relocation is not available.
US Citizenship is required.
