Role Summary
The NRT Pipeline Engineer is responsible for designing and developing Near Real-Time (NRT) data pipelines using Azure Functions / Python, enabling event-driven data ingestion, transformation, and delivery within SLA timelines. The role supports high-frequency data use cases such as campaign triggers, signup signals, and real-time analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop event-driven NRT pipelines using Azure Function Apps and Python
Build functions triggered via Event Hub / Service Bus / triggers
Implement transformation logic for near real-time datasets
Write Python-based logic for:
Data cleansing, filtering, enrichment
Encryption / decryption and lookup transformations
Perform schema validation and data structuring for downstream systems
Handle multiple ingestion types (purchase signals, signup events, campaign triggers)
Integrate Azure Functions with:
Azure Event Hub
Azure Service Bus
Azure Synapse
ADF pipelines
